Walt Disney world is open 365 days a year and operating hours fluctuate during the year, this is based on crowd levels, the day of the week, special occasions or events and sunrise and sunset. The park operating hours are published 6 months in advance.

EXTRA MAGIC HOURS, allows Walt Disney World resort guest to visit a particular theme park or water park on a selected day beyond regularly planned operating hours, this is available ONLY to guests staying at:

  • Walt Disney World-owned resorts
  • Walt Disney World Dolphin & Swan Resorts
  • Hilton Resort at Downtown Disney
  • Shades of Green

Morning Extra Magic Hour: 1 hour prior to regularly planned park opening. That means if the park is planned to open at 9 a.m. to the regular public, the Extra Magic Hour begins at 8 a.m for resort guests. Transportation to the park offering Morning Extra Magic Hour will begin approximatly 30 minutes prior to the opening time.

NOTE: You will be required to provide a valid Key to the World Card (Resort ID) at the park's turnstiles to obtain enterance.

Evening Extra Magic Hours: usually lengthen park hours by 3 hours beyond planned closing time. You'll will need to acquire a wristband at the theme park by presenting a valid Key to the World Card at designated locations no earlier than 2 hours prior to park close.
